  "Sean has captured this image unlike any I have ever seen, it is remarkable.  I remember lying in a ditch and looking up over a scene of mud puddles such as these.  I can almost hear the jackboots of the German soldiers just on the other side of the trees.  There were but a few of us and a large number of German soldiers talking as they walked along.  They didn't see us and we made it out. 

  I got trench foot though, 

that is what we called frost-bite from being wet and cold all the time. You really didn't worry about your feet though since you were worried about your life. His painting is amazing... Thank you
